What’s in MY spray bottle? Well, I’m just using water at the moment but when I feel my hair needs a tad more help, I usually have distilled water, a few drops of glycerin, a few drops of lavender and a few squeezes of Kinky Curly Knot Today. I love this mix and while my mix has changed over the years, this one is what I come back to when my hair needs something simple, yet effective.

Top ingredients for diy hair refreshers in your spray bottle

Another reason I prefer a spray bottle mix is that I’ve never found a commercial brand refresher that wasn’t sticky, or didn’t leave my hair full of frizz or shapelessness. I love how the cheap price of creating my own concoction allows me to spend more money on other things I may need to buy for my hair. When you are ready to create your own mixture, know you need more water than the other ingredients. (3/4 water to 1/4 or less of your additional ingredients) The size of your spray bottle will dictate the amounts of each ingredients and smaller bottles need smaller amounts of ingredients and vice versa for bigger bottles.
