Just because you are new to natural hair does not mean you are not ready to create your own diy conditioner. You just need the push.
Full disclosure: I don’t do the DIY too often, but I have been known to add some carrier oils to my deep conditioner when I know it needs it. I also know hundreds of women who do use and love creating their own hair care products. While it can be fun, it most certainly will ensure you are using only the good stuff for your hair and its hella cheaper! Afraid to give it a try? Don’t be. This is the best way to figure out what your hair loves from basic natural ingredients.
Who would best benefit from a DIY conditioner?
Actually, any one will benefit but there are a few who will find them to work the best. Remember, you do not have to be an expert at DIY, natural hair or even cooking to create some really amazing homemade conditioners.
Favorite products for DIY Conditioners
Quite often you need to go the DIY or simple route. There may be some chemicals or compounds in those commercial brands that your hair may not like. Going natural or DIY allows you to select what ingredients to use and to determine which ones work or don’t work for your hair. A lot of them have preservatives that your hair may not care for either.
Budget-Conscious
It’s no secret that a DIY conditioner will be much cheaper than buying over the counter products. Here’s a quick tip: don’t buy your ingredients like coconut oil or olive oil in the haircare section. Buy in the food isle as they are much cheaper and EXACTLY the same!
Deep Conditioner, Best For Damaged Hair
Sensitive people
Not like that, I mean the ones who tend to be allergic to a lot of ingredients, like nuts, soy or protein. Most commercial brands are not vegan or have non-allergic brands or product options. This ensures you steer clear of what you already know ails you and lessen our probability of an allergic reaction to your scalp, skin or hair.
Here are a few of the simplest, inexpensive and most rewarding homemade conditioners that thousands of natural love, revere and use often!
